Workers’ Party Reviews Legislative Election Candidate Lists Ahead of July 2 Vote
By Dr. Hana Saada
The Political Bureau of Algeria’s Workers’ Party (PT) held a meeting on Saturday to review candidate lists ahead of the legislative elections scheduled for July 2, according to party statements.
PT Secretary-General Louisa Hanoune said the prospective candidates are largely composed of “young and qualified profiles” capable of defending the party’s programme within the lower house of Parliament.
She added that the party is currently finalising its electoral campaign strategy, which will be deployed across all wilayas, alongside defining its priorities for the upcoming parliamentary term.
Hanoune stated that the PT’s participation in the elections aims to contribute to safeguarding the country from external pressures through institutional renewal.
