Algeria, Djibouti Seek Stronger Youth Cooperation Through Experience Sharing

Youth Minister Mustapha Hidaoui and Djibouti’s Minister of Youth and Culture Fardoussa Moussa Egueh discussed expanding bilateral cooperation through joint youth programmes, policy exchanges and leadership development initiatives.

ALGIERS — Youth Minister and President of the Higher Youth Council (CSJ), Mustapha Hidaoui, on Sunday held talks with Djibouti’s Minister of Youth and Culture, Fardoussa Moussa Egueh, on strengthening bilateral cooperation through the exchange of expertise and best practices in youth development.

The meeting, held during the Djiboutian minister’s working visit to Algeria, focused on expanding collaboration in youth policy and programmes aimed at empowering young people.

According to an official statement, Hidaoui presented Algeria’s key youth-sector reforms, including the 2026–2029 National Youth Plan, as well as initiatives designed to promote young people’s participation in national development and enhance their economic, social and political empowerment.

For her part, Egueh praised Algeria’s experience in developing public policies for youth, highlighting the “DZ Young Leaders” programme as a promising model for training future young leaders.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining dialogue and developing joint cooperation programmes aimed at supporting young people in Algeria and Djibouti.
