Algeria, Oman Deepen Digital Transformation Cooperation During Four-Day Working Visit
A high-level Omani delegation has begun a four-day visit to Algeria to advance bilateral cooperation in digital transformation, with discussions focusing on national digital strategies, artificial intelligence, public digital services and future investment partnerships.

ALGIERS — A high-level delegation from the Sultanate of Oman arrived in Algiers on Saturday for a four-day working visit aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation in digital transformation between Algeria’s High Commission for Digitalisation and Oman’s Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology.
According to a statement from the High Commission for Digitalisation, the visit follows the agreement reached between High Commissioner for Digitalisation Meriem Benmouloud and Omani Minister of Transport, Communications and Information Technology during the latter’s official visit to Algeria from 3 to 6 May 2026.
The opening day featured presentations on Algeria’s flagship digital transformation initiatives, including the National Digital Transformation Strategy, the country’s digital infrastructure and the National Centre for Digital Services, highlighting Algeria’s progress in the sector while creating new opportunities for the exchange of expertise and best practices.
Members of the Omani delegation commended Algeria’s advances in digital transformation and expressed interest in exploring investment opportunities, expanding bilateral cooperation and establishing strategic partnerships aimed at accelerating digital transformation and strengthening knowledge sharing between the two countries.
The Omani side also showcased the expertise of several leading national technology companies, presenting innovative solutions in artificial intelligence and digital public services.
The programme further includes a series of technical meetings, specialised workshops and field visits to key institutions and digital facilities as both countries seek to expand cooperation and deepen collaboration in digital transformation.
