Antalya Forum: Ahmed Attaf Holds Series of Bilateral Meetings

Algeria’s Foreign Minister Ahmed Attaf held a series of bilateral meetings in Antalya on the sidelines of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum.
In this context, Mr Attaf met Hanna Tetteh, the United Nations Secretary-General’s Special Representative and Head of the UN Support Mission in Libya. The discussions focused on the latest developments in Libya, in light of ongoing UN efforts to relaunch the political process.
Both sides reaffirmed Algeria’s commitment, in coordination with neighbouring countries, to supporting initiatives aimed at achieving a lasting settlement that ensures Libya’s security and stability while preserving its sovereignty and national unity.
Separately, Mr Attaf held talks with Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov, reviewing progress in implementing outcomes of the Azerbaijani minister’s official visit to Algeria in November.
The discussions also covered steps to finalise the activation of a joint intergovernmental commission, intended to provide a more structured framework for bilateral relations and support their ongoing expansion.
Both ministers further exchanged views on regional developments, particularly current dynamics in the Middle East.
