ALGIERS – Kamel Moula, President of the Algerian Economic Renewal Council (CREA), met on Thursday with Mark Shapiro, Chargé d’Affaires at the United States Embassy in Algeria, to discuss ways of deepening bilateral economic cooperation and expanding partnerships between Algerian and American businesses.

According to CREA, the meeting formed part of ongoing efforts to strengthen the Algeria–United States economic partnership and identify new avenues for collaboration capable of generating investment, fostering innovation, and supporting private-sector development in both countries.

The discussions included an assessment of the outcomes of the Algerian delegation’s participation in the SelectUSA Investment Summit, where Algeria recorded a notable presence. Both sides examined ways to convert the business contacts and engagements established during the event into concrete investment projects and sustainable commercial partnerships.

The two officials also reviewed opportunities to broaden bilateral economic cooperation by encouraging stronger collaboration between economic operators from both countries, with particular emphasis on stimulating investment flows, facilitating the transfer of expertise and know-how, and identifying new sectors for mutually beneficial cooperation.

During the meeting, CREA reaffirmed its commitment to expanding international economic cooperation and building strategic partnerships with leading global business stakeholders.

The organisation said these efforts are intended to support Algeria’s economic growth, enhance the competitiveness of domestic enterprises, and strengthen the international presence of Algerian companies in global markets.
