President Tebboune Declares Three Days of National Mourning Following Deadly Boumerdès Bus Tragedy
The Algerian President extended his condolences to the families of the victims after the fatal bus crash in Boumerdès, ordered a three-day national mourning period, and pledged that those found responsible would face justice as investigations continue.

ALGIERS – Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune on Friday declared three days of national mourning following the deadly bus accident in Boumerdès, extending his condolences to the families of the victims and vowing that those found responsible would be held accountable.
In a message released after the tragedy, the President said he had received “with profound sorrow” news of the accident, which claimed numerous lives after a passenger bus plunged into a ravine earlier in the day.
Describing the incident as another consequence of what he referred to as the “terrorists of the road,” Tebboune stressed that the ongoing investigation would establish responsibility and affirmed that “the hand of justice will be firm against anyone whose involvement is proven.”
The president also announced a three-day national mourning period in honour of the victims.
In his message, President Tebboune prayed for Almighty Allah to grant the deceased eternal mercy and extended his wishes for a swift recovery to those injured in the accident.
